For more than many years, Quality Paving has worked on driveways, parking lots, church lots, and industrial sites across Middle Georgia. This page exists to preserve that history — not to sell it.
Some of the work documented here is recent and photographed in detail. Some is historic and pieced together from company records, customer memories, and photographs recovered from files that predate digital photography. We publish only what we can verify.
How Quality Paving Started
In the late 1970s, William "Wade" Head learned the asphalt trade working alongside respected paving professionals like Slim Corsi and Tommy Moss. that experience became Quality Paving Seal Coating & Striping — a small family operation working out of Milner, Georgia, on residential driveways and modest commercial lots across Lamar County.
The company was never built on marketing. It was built on a simple standard: prepare the site properly, use materials worth trusting, hit the right density, and stand behind the finished lot.
The People Who Built Quality Paving
A family business is never built by one person. Alongside Wade Head, hardworking men helped shape both the crews and the reputation that Quality Paving still carries today.
Men like Domingo Mesa and Kent McHann stood beside Wade for years — showing up, doing honest work, and taking pride in the finished product. Their loyalty and craftsmanship became part of the foundation this company is still built upon.
The names of every crew member who ran a screed, pulled a lute, or walked behind a roller for Quality Paving would fill more space than any page can hold. To all of them — thank you.
Continuing The Family Standard
In 2019, ownership of Quality Paving passed to Wade's son, Gralon Head. Taking over during the uncertainty of COVID-19 while grieving the loss of his father was a difficult season, but the responsibility was clear: protect the family name, honor the men who built it, and keep the standard exactly where it had always been.
The lessons Wade taught remain the standard today — do what you say you're going to do, stand behind your work, treat people fairly, and never stop pursuing quality.
Historical Projects
Quality Paving provides estimates throughout Middle Georgia and surrounding communities, subject to project location and scheduling. Many earlier project records predate digital photography.
We are currently working through decades of company records, photographs, and customer memories to preserve our history and document projects completed throughout the years. As historical information becomes available, new projects will be added.
Records from earlier decades are being carefully reviewed. Verified historic entries will appear here as they are documented.

The trades we work in have evolved. Equipment, mix designs, and materials are more advanced than what was available — and they will keep improving. What does not change is how we work: honestly, patiently, and accountably.
Our goal is not to be the largest paving company in Georgia. Our goal is to build a company future generations will be proud to continue — one that keeps its word, treats people with respect, cares about the details, and always tries to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
That is the kind of legacy worth building.
